We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our accounting team and provide exceptional financial management services for our clients. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in QuickBooks and a proven track record in managing reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and ad hoc reporting. This role requires excellent attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.
- Interview Process –
- They would have to take the internal QuickBooks test and then do a screen share with the Partner of the firm so they can access how the candidate navigates the system (QuickBooks Online).
- Next there’s an Interview with CEO and Partner.
- They also do a DISC assessment and a background check. then references.
- Has an exceptional understanding of bookkeeping with some experience providing day-to-day accounting and/or advisory services for small to mid-sized businesses
- Has QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online experience. ProAdvisors are highly preferred, with experience in multiple accounting software platforms being a huge plus!
- Has Working knowledge of Microsoft 365
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage accurate financial records for multiple clients, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
- Record and categorize financial transactions in QuickBooks, ensuring proper coding and documentation.
- Generate and analyze ad hoc financial reports based on client needs, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely billing and payment processing.
- Assist in preparing financial statements, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
- Collaborate with clients to ensure accurate and timely submission of financial data.
- Identify discrepancies in records and resolve them promptly.
- Stay updated on accounting regulations and industry best practices to provide high-quality service.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in an accounting firm or managing multiple clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
